FOUR HUNDRED YEARS OF GLORIOUS ENGLISH SACRED MUSIC AT LEEDS TOWN HALL

St Peter's Singers of Leeds - Leeds Town Hall - lunchtime concertSt Peter’s Singers will be at Leeds Town Hall on Monday 12 February 2018 with City Organist Darius Battiwalla in a special programme of English music from William Byrd in the sixteenth to Philip Moore in the twentieth century. In between these timelines come works by Henry Purcell, Samuel Sebastian Wesley [first organist at the then new Leeds Parish Church from 1842], Sir Edward Bairstow [Dr Moore’s predecessor but one at York Minster] and Sir Hubert Parry. Admission is free and there is a retiring collection. A Leeds International Concert Season lunchtime music event promoted and hosted by Leeds City Council.
