Visit Leeds Minster on one of our Summer Tours 2017

Leeds Minster, the city’s civic church and a landmark on the north bank of the River
Aire, has within its walls beautiful and fascinating objects many of which tell stories
of those who lived and worked in the city. Among them are the 10th-century carved
cross, the famous organ, the stained glass windows and the monuments.
Our tours will explore different aspects of the building and its history.

May 20th The Minster and its windows. Leader – Ann Clark
June 17th A general introduction to the Minster. Leader – Sheila Fisher
July 15th ‘The Noblest Construction in Modern Times’; Building Leeds Minster.
Leader – Dr Christopher Webster
August 12th Music and the Minster. Leader – Dr Simon Lindley, Organist Emeritus

Cost: £5 per person; 16 and under free. All tours start at 10.30am and last an hour.
Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available (donation) from 10am.
